    Olympics 2024

While I love the whole of the Olympics, it's really all about the athletics for me. I'll be glued to every minute.

Looking forward to Adeleke possibly medalling in the women's 400m. 7pm on Friday 9th August is the time of that final.

So many fast times already this season in many events and the new Paris track is said to be very fast and bouncy, so maybe we'll see a couple of WRs. One bet for me so far:

The men's 800m has been on fire this season and I've backed Emmanuel Wanyoni to win gold at 3/1 (that's with Betfred, 13/5 PP, 5/2 Unibet, 2/1 some others). Sedjati, the 8/11 fav, beat him by just a hair in an epic race just a few weeks ago, when I thought Wanyoni was a bit inefficient by going too hard on the first lap. No reason the same won't happen again of course but at the prices, Wanyoni is worth a bet. He only turns 20 in a few days, so has the potential to just keep improving in every run. (Although he looks 30 to be fair!) The final is at 6:25pm on Sat 10th Aug.

The men's 1500m on Tuesday evening will be fireworks. An epic duel expected between Ingebrigtsen and Kerr. But maybe they'll take each other on too hard too early and Cole Hocker can come through and nab both of them on the line? 33/1 at Skybet and 5/2 to make the top 3.

My heart, what a race. Wanyoni wins!

Third fastest man ever at the distance. He had drifted out to 9/2 as well after the heats and semis for no good reason.

I didnt see the race, (i havent watched much of the Olympics to be honest), but great shout again.
Its a pity the Olympics arent every year, you would clean up.

    Cheers guys.

What a brilliant Games overall, loved it! Apart from the two heartbreaking 4th-place finishes for Ireland on the track.
