Hi QC
It's kinda shocking that 102 online only three members even if 3/4 are bits
Still looking at 25 possible new members ,it's not like you have to be an expert just don't give shit to people and keep the fun rolling we have a common enemy that we all want to beat
Couldnt have put it better myself.
This is a game of opinions. And we all have them. And its nice to hear differing opinions. And putting a selection up is just a bit of fun. If it wins - briiliant. If it loses - maybe next time. Just remember - we ALL back winners but we ALL back far more losers !!!
Its now 7.40 and there is a list of the "members" who have been logged on in the last 24hrs on the home page. Ten "normal" members, (if that is the right word ), and seven of those long named ones who must come from a place where everyone is dyslexic ! And they all have numbers after their name !
Quixall Crossett 666 over and out.
Down 4lb from the Class 1 run last time - ran a very nice race - I will be going with Franky in the 2.55 7/2.
For Islander - a pity that you missed the 16/1 but this does highlight why i am sending the messages now. They are not "certs", they are not red hot tips, they are not "good things" etc. They are just little old me going thru the form and seeing what has a chance, especially at a big price. And at a big price that i know is too big and will drop.
That 16/1 actually lasted for over an hour and a half. I believe Fridge got it, he may confirm that, but the point is that he was the only member on at the time and if he hadnt have been on, it would have just been the "guests" or lurkers as some people put it. And they would have had the opportunity to snap the 16/1 up and make money out of it. And then that 16/1 might not have lasted so long. And if they dont want to join in and contribute then it is just not on !!
Will it win ? I havent the foggiest. I hope it does and it has a far better chance than the odds of 16/1 that was put up. And that was an opportunity to make money. And that is not easy in this game. So we have to grab it while we can. And one of my mates is doing that every day now. I have mentioned him before but he messaged me last night with the usual "job done " that he sends me every time.
He was getting pissed off with the whole racing game and was on the verge of packing it in altogether. Then he decided to stop risking his money on bets and to just trade the price every time he backs one. He told me this morning that he had £20 on at 16/1 and has laid it all back at 10.5. So if it wins he stands to win £130 without risking a penny. He said he might lay another tenner at 10.5 therefore giving him a tenner if it loses and £35 if it wins. Thats the way to do it. And he still gets the enjoyment of watching the race and cheering it on.
Not everyones cup of tea i know and some will never do it that way. But as i said earlier, he was getting totally pissed off with it all (and lets face it, he's not alone) and now he is getting his fun without it costing him anything. And for anyone who cant see it from his angle, think about this --
We all back winners and we all back losers. And we all back more losers than winners. But doing it his way, he is not backing any less winners. But he is backing far less losers. In fact, he is not backing any losers. Because he is not losing any money !!!!
Food for thought.
Thanks for the messages QC, just seen them today will follow them now that I'm back after a short break away from betting
Hello mate, nice to see you again.
The messages are really for information purposes only unless one stands out. Those days will come but in the meantime, if anyone has looked at these races and are not sure what to back, hopefully these snippets might help push them in the right direction.
I have to say that i have never known so many people either taking a break from betting or packing it in altogether. I'm not gonna go off on one of my thousand word rants but the simple fact is that the racing game is not what it was. The fun is going from it. You just have to look at the BHA, the Jockey Club, the racecourses and the bookmakers etc, all arguing and fighting amongst themselves. And all for money !!!!
I've said loads of times on here that greed will kill this game. And it is already doing so. The game is dying a slow death and we know who is to blame.
Thats enough for now, i'm getting wound up. Time for a coffee.
I suppose we can name Jet Of Magic now seeing as the 16/1 and the bigger prices have all gone. There is a rule 4 to be taken off due to the non runner but as i type it is 6/1 with bet365 but generally a 5/1 chance with a couple of firms as low as 9/2.
The easy part is getting the price. The hard part is getting it to pass the post in front.
If anyone is still unsure about how amateurish British horse racing is, just have a look at the finish of the Uttoxeter 2.25 race and the eventual outcome. How a supposedly professional sport is allowed to be run by idiots is totally beyond me. The decision to disqualify Flic Ou Voyou is wrong !! Completely and utterly wrong !! It is a diabolical decision by complete and utter morons !!
Apologies for sitting on the fence.
Looks like stewards were on the fav.

An absolutely diabolical decision. The simple fact is, there was no interference !! End Of !!
Apparently that clueless clown Apiafi said he had spoken to the stewards and could see where they were coming from but he's as clueless as they come and everyone should ignore everything he says.
This decision WILL be reversed if and when they appeal. And they would be mad not to.
And no, i dont feel sorry for the bookies having to pay out in full on a well fancied favourite when they should only be paying half. The days of me commiserating with the fraudsters are long gone. But they will be sick as pigs. Jumping the last it looks like a 66/1 chance is gonna win. Then it gets called a dead heat and they only have to pay out the fav at 5/8 (around 8/13). And then the stewards make the unbelievable decision to kick out the outsider. And then they have to pay the full 9/4.
What a shame !
Once the King of Galway - I wonder has DKW lined up this one to repeat last years win.
